ACADEMIC
AND CO-CURRICULAR
We give importance to both academic and non-academic
activities.
UNIFORM
The school uniform is simple, white short-sleeved
shirt tucked in, and black trousers. The purpose of
the school uniform is to foster, in the campus, a
base-level equality and unity among children.
The
school buses, seven in number, clearly indicate that
Loyola runs on wheels. The school has a financial
assistance scheme to help those who find it difficult
to pay the fees. If otherwise qualified, financial
problems alone need not deter any student from studying
in Loyola School.
ACADEMIC
The courses offered are ICSE, SSLC
(both secondary level) and ISC (higher secondary or
+2 level) and +2 (State syllabus). Subjects offered
in the ISC course are English (Compulsory), Mathematics,
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Commerce and Accountancy.
A minimum of four of these subjects (including English)
are to be chosen by the students.
The academic calendar/year
is from May/June to April / May the following year,
consisting of 12 months. The final Exams will be on
March/April.
The normal routine academic
lessons, instruction, test, exams, projects, assignments,
practical lessons etc demand pupil interest and response
without fail. Similarly, there are also co-curricular
programmes like youth festival, lafest, sports, games,
arts science exhibition, P T (Physical Training),
School Assembly, orientation programmes, celebration
of festivals, School Day etc. Participation/attendance
in these, is considered very important for the total
and integral education of the pupils . This all will
make them a better human being.
